Medical facilities generate enormous volumes of hazardous biomedical waste. On average, 20 pounds of hazardous biomedical waste is generated every day for each patient. This waste is composed of needles, surgical scrubs, gloves, gauze, soiled linens, soiled mops, catheters, and the like. Due to the hazardous nature of the waste, special handling is required. Almost all medical facilities use biomedical waste carts to collect, transport, and dispose of biomedical waste.

Problem — The biomedical carts must be cleaned and disinfected daily to prevent the spread of disease-causing microorganisms.

Solution Green Heat and First Mate Concentrate are extremely effective at removing the organic  residues, soils, and germs from biomedical carts. Because both products are highly concentrated, an in-line, high-volume proportioner like the Sani-Foam System is ideal for proportioning the products into a water hose to quickly get the job done.

STEP 1 Empty cart and remove bulk soils.
STEP 2 Hose the cart down with Green Heat proportioned at 1:32.
STEP 3 Rinse the cart with straight water to remove the residues that have been dissolved by the Green Heat.
STEP 4 Apply First Mate Concentrate proportioned at 1:213 and allow all surfaces to remain wet for 10 minutes before draining and allowing to air dry.
