ATLANTA—Momar, Inc. (http://www.momar.com), a specialty manufacturer of general maintenance and sanitation chemicals, pledged $25,000 to support the Nature Conservancy’s $25 million Georgia for Generations campaign.  By pledging support Momar is joining forces with the Conservancy’s corporate partners to support priority conservation initiatives in Georgia and around the globe.

“The Nature Conservancy has made a lot of progress in restoring and preserving Georgia’s natural beauty,” stated Julian Mohr, Jr., Executive Vice President of Momar, Inc., “and we hope our pledge will go a long way in supporting Georgia conservation efforts now and in the future.”

Launched in 2009, Georgia for Generations encompasses Georgia’s most pressing conservation priorities.  It is designed to raise needed funds to support the protection and conservation of five major rivers including the Savannah River, the Altamaha River, the Flint River, the Conasauga River and the Etowah River; protection of Georgia’s longleaf pine forests particularly in west Georgia; and protection of Georgia’s envied coast.

Momar’s five-year pledge of $25,000 was recognized at the Georgia chapter’s annual event, the Hoochie, April 19th, 2013.  This year’s event, The Savanna to Savannah, is a celebration of The Nature Conservancy’s international conservation mission — from the African savannas to the coast of Savannah, Georgia.
