Sodium Bicarbonate is a fine white powder that neutralizes acid by making the solution alkaline. It is composed of a sodium anion and bicarbonate anion. It has multiple chemical applications including pH buffering agent for waste water, pool alkalinity controller, paint and corrosion removal for non-ferrous metals, and general topical cleaner and scrubber. Additionally, it can be utilized as a dessicant to remove moisture from the air and for odor control by neutralizing the air to an odor-free state.
