ISOTHIAZOLINONE SPILL KIT

Deactivation and Spill Kit for CMIT and MIT

Isothiazolinone is a commonly used microbicide in industry due to its low cost and good efficacy. The most common forms of this chemical are 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one and 2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one. Momar offers 12810 and CMB-6 which both contain these ingredients. These chemicals are known skin sensitizers, and they must be deactivated when spills occur to prevent incidental contact which could lead to an allergic reaction. Momar has created a spill kit with all the ingredients needed to safely absorb and deactivate small spills of isothiazolinone products. A step-by-step deactivation and cleanup guide for small isothiazolinone spills can be found in the Downloads Section.
