14855

14855 is an organic boiler treatment product that precipitates and conditions feed water calcium hardness to prevent scale and allow complete removal of sludge through regular blowdown. Sequestrants and crystal modifiers are included in 14855 to properly condition sludge, reduce suspended solids, and maintain clean, efficient heat transfer surfaces. Precipitated solids and boiler sludge are fluidized by a unique blend of organic polymers in 14855 to facilitate their removal through regular blowdown. 14855 supplements natural water alkalinity and usually does not require an alkalinity adjunct product. An efficient oxygen scavenger is provided to control oxygen pitting attack within the boiler. 14855 also contains a neutralizing amine which minimizes corrosion of steam condensate lines, steam traps and other condensate handling equipment.
