Polyamine-Based Corrosion and Scale Inhibitor for Steam Boilers
AquaTrol 14875 is a high-performance organic polyamine-based corrosion and scale inhibitor designed for steam boilers and steam generators using softened or reverse osmosis (RO) make-up water. The product protects boiler systems by forming a durable, protective film on metal surfaces throughout the boiler, feedwater system, condensate lines, condensate return tank, feedwater tank, and deaerator. This advanced treatment combines multiple treatment functions into a single “one-drum” program, simplifying chemical inventory and reducing treatment complexity by replacing traditional sulfite, alkalinity builders, and dispersants.
- Film-forming amines create a tenacious protective layer on metal surfaces throughout the boiler and condensate system for complete system protection
- Helps cleanse and disperse water-formed deposits from heat transfer surfaces for reduced scale and deposit formation
- Neutralizing amines react with carbon dioxide in the steam and condensate, maintaining proper pH and protecting return lines
- Contains a fluorescein tracer for quick verification and monitoring of product presence in the system
- Provides a “One drum” product replacing sulfite, alkalinity builders and dispersants
- FDA compliant for most food contact applications under 21 CFR 173.310
